Bloom Surge Fragrance Oil for Candles & Diffusers
A green-lit floral oriental — tea leaf and osmanthus open into orchid, jasmine and rose, grounded by patchouli, musk and vanilla.
Description
Bloom Surge Fragrance Oil is a floral oriental accord built around osmanthus and orchid. Tea leaf and bergamot lift the opening, jasmine, rose, freesia and orange blossom carry the heart, and patchouli, musk and vanilla hold the base. It is a blended fragrance oil for candles, wax melts, cold process soap, reed diffusers, linen sprays and perfume work, and the accord behaves the same way in each.
Most floral fragrance oils fail one of two ways: sugary and thin, or heavy and soap-like. Bloom Surge takes the second route on purpose. The flowers sit above a resinous floor rather than floating on top of it, so the scent keeps its shape in hot wax.

What Does Bloom Surge Fragrance Oil Smell Like?
Bloom Surge Fragrance Oil opens green before it opens floral. Tea leaf comes first, dry and faintly bitter, with bergamot brightening the edge so the start never feels syrupy. Osmanthus follows within a minute or two, carrying the apricot-like sweetness that defines the scent. What sits underneath is warmer than the opening suggests: patchouli, musk and vanilla, which is why the dry-down reads as a garden at dusk rather than a bouquet in daylight.
How the Scent Moves
The first fifteen to twenty minutes belong to tea leaf and bergamot. Osmanthus is already there, but it reads greener than it will later. From roughly twenty minutes to the three-hour mark the heart takes over and the accord turns properly floral: orchid first, then jasmine and rose, with orange blossom adding a soft honeyed lift at the edges. Patchouli and musk arrive last and stay longest, and vanilla rounds the tail without turning the blend into dessert.
This arc matters more in wax than on skin. Cold throw tells you what the jar smells like on a shelf; the hot throw in hour three tells you whether the base is doing its job. Bloom Surge is built so the second reading is stronger, so judge a test pour after a full cure and a two-hour burn.
Why Makers Choose Bloom Surge
- A Floral With a Floor: The oriental base gives the white florals something to stand on, so the accord holds together instead of collapsing into sweetness.
- Built for Wax and Soap, Not Just Alcohol: A 207°F (97°C) flash point leaves working room in hot wax, and the base notes are chosen to survive a full cure in cold process soap.
- One Accord, Several Formats: The same scent carries from candle to reed diffuser to linen spray, which keeps a product line coherent.
- Documented and Traceable: An IFRA certificate and safety data sheet support each batch, and the oil is not tested on animals.
How to Use It
- Candle & Wax Melts: Start at 6% to 10% by weight of wax. Add at 180°F to 185°F, stir for two full minutes, and pour at the temperature your wax maker recommends. Cure soy for one to two weeks before the first burn.
- Cold Process Soap: Start at 2% to 5%. Add after trace at the coolest temperature your recipe tolerates. Dense florals can speed trace, so line the mold first and stir by hand once the oil is in.
- Reed Diffusers: Dilute into a diffuser base to the strength you want. The oriental base keeps the room from going flat once the top notes burn off, which is the usual failure point.
- Linen & Room Sprays: Solubilize before diluting, or the oil will ring the glass and leave a film on fabric. Test on an offcut before spraying anything you intend to keep.
- Body Care & Perfume: Use 0.5% to 2% in lotions and other leave-on products, and 1% to 10% in perfume or fine fragrance. Patch test anything that stays on skin before you sell it.
These are starting ranges, not ceilings. The maximum for this scent in each application is set by its IFRA certificate, and that document is what to check before locking a formula.
Safety & Documentation
- Flash Point 207°F (97°C), closed cup — high enough for gel wax and stable at normal candle-making temperatures. Keep it away from open flame.
- Concentrate, not a finished product — do not swallow, do not apply neat to skin, keep it out of eyes. Rinse with plenty of water if contact happens.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets — cats and dogs are more sensitive to concentrated fragrance than people are. Wipe spills with an absorbent cloth instead of rinsing them away.
- IFRA certificate and safety data sheet — available on request before you order, and supplied with bulk quantities. No animal testing.
