Orchard Herb Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making
A fruity floral — lilac and peach blossom open into tea leaf and petitgrain, over cedarwood and warm amber.
Description
Orchard Herb Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making Fragrance Oil is a fruity floral accord. Lilac, Tea Leaf, Peony, Peach Blossom, Musk, Wisteria, Petitgrain, Osmanthus, Cedarwood, Amber lift the opening, lilac, tea leaf, peony, peach blossom, musk, wisteria, petitgrain, osmanthus, cedarwood, amber carry the heart, and lilac, tea leaf, peony, peach blossom, musk, wisteria, petitgrain, osmanthus, cedarwood, amber hold the base. It is a blended fragrance oil for candles, wax melts, cold process soap, reed diffusers, linen sprays and perfume work, and the accord behaves the same way in each.
Orchard Herb is not built as a conventional top-heart-base progression. It is a single, layered impression: lilac and peach blossom over tea leaf and petitgrain, resting on cedarwood and warm amber. The effect is a fruity floral that reads like an orchard edge, not a flower bed. If you want one note to dominate, this is not that scent; if you want balance, it is.
Orchard Herb Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making Fragrance Oil Overview
Product Details
What Does Orchard Herb Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making Fragrance Oil Smell Like?
Orchard Herb reads as one continuous impression rather than a series of notes. Lilac and peach blossom sit at the front, sweet and a little green, with tea leaf and petitgrain giving the middle a clean, cut-herb lift. Wisteria and osmanthus add soft floral depth, and musk, cedarwood and amber close it warm. The result is a balanced fruity floral, an orchard edge on a warm day rather than a dense flower bed.
How the Scent Moves
Because the accord is one impression, it does not shift as dramatically as a classic fragrance. The lilac and peach blossom are strongest at the start, and the tea leaf and petitgrain come forward as the scent settles. Cedarwood and amber remain at the end, keeping it warm and green rather than sweet. In wax this means a steady, even throw; in soap it survives a cure well, so judge after four to six weeks.
Why Makers Choose Orchard Herb Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making
- One Balanced Impression: A layered fruity floral that holds together instead of letting one note dominate.
- Green-Fruited, Not Sugary: Tea leaf and petitgrain keep the lilac and peach blossom from turning sweet.
- An Orchard Edge, Not a Flower Bed: A fresh, green accord that suits outdoors and airy spaces.
- One Accord, Several Formats: The same balanced scent carries from candle to diffuser to soap.
How to Use It
- Candle & Wax Melts: Start at 6% to 10% by weight of wax. Add at 180°F to 185°F, stir for two full minutes, and pour at the temperature your wax maker recommends. Cure soy for one to two weeks before the first burn.
- Cold Process Soap: Start at 2% to 5%. Add after trace at the coolest temperature your recipe tolerates. Fragrances can accelerate trace, so line the mold first and stir by hand once the oil is in.
- Reed Diffusers: Dilute into a diffuser base to the strength you want. The base notes keep the room from going flat once the top notes burn off, which is the usual failure point.
- Linen & Room Sprays: Solubilize before diluting, or the oil will ring the glass and leave a film on fabric. Test on an offcut before spraying anything you intend to keep.
- Body Care & Perfume: Use 0.5% to 2% in lotions and other leave-on products, and 1% to 10% in perfume or fine fragrance. Patch test anything that stays on skin before you sell it.
These are starting ranges, not ceilings. The maximum for this scent in each application is set by its IFRA certificate, and that document is what to check before locking a formula.
Safety & Documentation
- Flash Point 214°F (101°C), closed cup — high enough for gel wax and stable at normal candle-making temperatures. Keep it away from open flame.
- Concentrate, not a finished product — do not swallow, do not apply neat to skin, keep it out of eyes. Rinse with plenty of water if contact happens.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets — cats and dogs are more sensitive to concentrated fragrance than people are. Wipe spills with an absorbent cloth instead of rinsing them away.
- IFRA certificate and safety data sheet — available on request before you order, and supplied with bulk quantities. No animal testing.
