Lush Saffron Fragrance Oil for Perfume & Candles
A resinous floral oriental — saffron and jasmine open into amber wood and ambergris, grounded by fir and cedarwood.
Description
Lush Saffron Fragrance Oil for Perfume & Candles Fragrance Oil is a floral oriental accord. Saffron, Jasmine lift the opening, amber wood, ambergris carry the heart, and fir, cedarwood hold the base. It is a blended fragrance oil for candles, wax melts, cold process soap, reed diffusers, linen sprays and perfume work, and the accord behaves the same way in each.
Saffron is a difficult note: too much and it smells medicinal, too little and it disappears. Lush Saffron threads it through jasmine and amber so it reads warm and sophisticated instead of sharp. The fir and cedarwood underneath keep the whole thing grounded, so the scent never floats into sweetness. It is an oriental built on warmth, not sugar.
Lush Saffron Fragrance Oil for Perfume & Candles Fragrance Oil Overview
Product Details
What Does Lush Saffron Fragrance Oil for Perfume & Candles Fragrance Oil Smell Like?
Lush Saffron opens on saffron and jasmine together, and the saffron gives the florals a warm, almost leathery edge rather than letting them turn sweet. Amber wood and ambergris carry the heart, and that is where the scent turns rich and resinous. Fir and cedarwood close it, adding a dry, coniferous lift that keeps the warmth from becoming heavy. The overall shape is warm and refined, like a spice market wrapped in jasmine rather than a floral that happens to have spice in it.
How the Scent Moves
The first ten minutes are the most saffron-forward, and the note reads warm and slightly dry. Jasmine follows quickly and softens it. From ten minutes to the two-hour mark the amber wood and ambergris take over and the accord turns resinous and full. Fir and cedarwood arrive last and stay longest, and they are what keep the scent grounded instead of floating into sweetness. In wax this means a warm, steady throw that suits evening candles; in soap the resinous base is what survives a cure, so judge after four to six weeks.
Why Makers Choose Lush Saffron Fragrance Oil for Perfume & Candles
- Saffron Without the Medicine: Threaded through jasmine and amber, the saffron reads warm and leathery instead of sharp or medicinal.
- A Warmth Built on Woods, Not Sugar: Fir and cedarwood ground the accord, so it stays rich and dry rather than collapsing into sweetness.
- Resinous Base Survives a Cure: The ambergris, fir and cedarwood are what hold through soap and long candle burns, not just the opening.
- One Accord, Several Formats: The same warm, refined oriental carries from perfume to candle to diffuser, keeping a product line coherent.
How to Use It
- Candle & Wax Melts: Start at 6% to 10% by weight of wax. Add at 180°F to 185°F, stir for two full minutes, and pour at the temperature your wax maker recommends. Cure soy for one to two weeks before the first burn.
- Cold Process Soap: Start at 2% to 5%. Add after trace at the coolest temperature your recipe tolerates. Fragrances can accelerate trace, so line the mold first and stir by hand once the oil is in.
- Reed Diffusers: Dilute into a diffuser base to the strength you want. The base notes keep the room from going flat once the top notes burn off, which is the usual failure point.
- Linen & Room Sprays: Solubilize before diluting, or the oil will ring the glass and leave a film on fabric. Test on an offcut before spraying anything you intend to keep.
- Body Care & Perfume: Use 0.5% to 2% in lotions and other leave-on products, and 1% to 10% in perfume or fine fragrance. Patch test anything that stays on skin before you sell it.
These are starting ranges, not ceilings. The maximum for this scent in each application is set by its IFRA certificate, and that document is what to check before locking a formula.
Safety & Documentation
- Flash Point 207°F (97°C), closed cup — high enough for gel wax and stable at normal candle-making temperatures. Keep it away from open flame.
- Concentrate, not a finished product — do not swallow, do not apply neat to skin, keep it out of eyes. Rinse with plenty of water if contact happens.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets — cats and dogs are more sensitive to concentrated fragrance than people are. Wipe spills with an absorbent cloth instead of rinsing them away.
- IFRA certificate and safety data sheet — available on request before you order, and supplied with bulk quantities. No animal testing.
