Orchid Vanilla Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making
A vanilla gourmand — orchid and tangerine open into tropical fruit, over vanilla, musk and sandalwood.
Description
Orchid Vanilla Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making Fragrance Oil is a vanilla gourmand accord. Orchid, Heliotrope, Tangerine lift the opening, gourmand, tropical fruits carry the heart, and vanilla, musk, sandalwood hold the base. It is a blended fragrance oil for candles, wax melts, cold process soap, reed diffusers, linen sprays and perfume work, and the accord behaves the same way in each.
Vanilla gourmands usually go straight to cake. Orchid Vanilla takes the floral route instead. Orchid, heliotrope and tangerine keep the opening bright and creamy, tropical fruit keeps the heart ripe, and vanilla, musk and sandalwood close it soft and warm. It is a vanilla that smells like flowers first, dessert second.

What Does Orchid Vanilla Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making Fragrance Oil Smell Like?
Orchid Vanilla opens on orchid and heliotrope, creamy and slightly almond-like, with tangerine brightening the edge so the start never feels heavy. The gourmand accord and tropical fruit carry the heart, and they read ripe and soft rather than candy-sweet. Vanilla, musk and sandalwood close it, warm and smooth, and that is what gives the scent its comfort: a creamy, floral vanilla that lingers close to the skin. The result is a refined gourmand, like a vanilla orchid rather than a vanilla cupcake.
How the Scent Moves
The first ten minutes belong to the orchid and tangerine, and the accord is bright and creamy. From ten minutes to the two-hour mark the gourmand accord and tropical fruit take over and the scent turns ripe and soft. The vanilla, musk and sandalwood arrive last and stay the longest, and they are what give the scent its warm, close finish. In wax this means a cozy, sweet throw that suits bedroom and living-room candles; in soap the vanilla base is what survives a cure, so judge after four to six weeks.
Why Makers Choose Orchid Vanilla Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making
- A Floral Vanilla, Not a Cake: Orchid and heliotrope keep the opening creamy and floral, so the vanilla reads refined instead of bakery.
- Ripe, Not Candy: The tropical fruit and gourmand accord warm the heart without turning it syrupy or one-note.
- A Close, Creamy Close: Vanilla, musk and sandalwood give the scent a soft, skin-like finish that lingers.
- One Accord, Several Formats: The same refined gourmand carries from candle to soap to diffuser, keeping a product line coherent.
How to Use It
- Candle & Wax Melts: Start at 6% to 10% by weight of wax. Add at 180°F to 185°F, stir for two full minutes, and pour at the temperature your wax maker recommends. Cure soy for one to two weeks before the first burn.
- Cold Process Soap: Start at 2% to 5%. Add after trace at the coolest temperature your recipe tolerates. Fragrances can accelerate trace, so line the mold first and stir by hand once the oil is in.
- Reed Diffusers: Dilute into a diffuser base to the strength you want. The base notes keep the room from going flat once the top notes burn off, which is the usual failure point.
- Linen & Room Sprays: Solubilize before diluting, or the oil will ring the glass and leave a film on fabric. Test on an offcut before spraying anything you intend to keep.
- Body Care & Perfume: Use 0.5% to 2% in lotions and other leave-on products, and 1% to 10% in perfume or fine fragrance. Patch test anything that stays on skin before you sell it.
These are starting ranges, not ceilings. The maximum for this scent in each application is set by its IFRA certificate, and that document is what to check before locking a formula.
Safety & Documentation
- Flash Point 214°F (101°C), closed cup — high enough for gel wax and stable at normal candle-making temperatures. Keep it away from open flame.
- Concentrate, not a finished product — do not swallow, do not apply neat to skin, keep it out of eyes. Rinse with plenty of water if contact happens.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets — cats and dogs are more sensitive to concentrated fragrance than people are. Wipe spills with an absorbent cloth instead of rinsing them away.
- IFRA certificate and safety data sheet — available on request before you order, and supplied with bulk quantities. No animal testing.
