Vanilla Grace Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making
A soft gourmand oriental — pear and pink pepper open into coffee, almond and liquorice, resting on vanilla, patchouli and cashmere wood.
Description
Vanilla Grace Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making Fragrance Oil is a gourmand oriental accord. Pear, Pink Pepper, Orange Blossom lift the opening, coffee, jasmine, almond, liquorice carry the heart, and vanilla, patchouli, cedarwood, cashmere wood hold the base. It is a blended fragrance oil for candles, wax melts, cold process soap, reed diffusers, linen sprays and perfume work, and the accord behaves the same way in each.
Most vanilla fragrance oils smell like baking and nothing else. Vanilla Grace deliberately does not. Coffee, almond and liquorice sit between the vanilla and the flowers, so the sweetness reads as warm and smoky instead of dessert-sweet. It is a vanilla built for evenings, not birthday cakes.

What Does Vanilla Grace Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making Fragrance Oil Smell Like?
Vanilla Grace opens on fruit and spice rather than sugar. Pear comes first, soft and a little cool, with pink pepper giving the top a dry snap that keeps it from turning syrupy. Orange blossom follows, then the blend drops into its real center: coffee, almond and a thread of liquorice that reads as roasted rather than medicinal. Vanilla is there from the start but stays in the background until the dry-down, when it rises with patchouli, cedarwood and cashmere wood into a warm, smoky finish. The overall shape is more evening candle than dessert menu.
How the Scent Moves
The first ten to fifteen minutes belong to pear and pink pepper, and the accord still smells crisp rather than sweet. From about fifteen minutes to the two-hour mark the coffee and almond take over and the scent turns warm and slightly roasted. Vanilla, patchouli and the woods arrive last and stay longest. This matters in wax: the smoky base is what keeps a candle from reading as a bakery after the first hour, and it is the part that develops over a full cure, so judge a vanilla-heavy pour after two weeks, not two days.
Why Makers Choose Vanilla Grace Fragrance Oil for Candles & Soap Making
- A Vanilla That Isn't Dessert: Coffee, almond and liquorice sit between the vanilla and the flowers, so it reads warm and smoky instead of sugar-sweet.
- Built for Evenings, Not Birthdays: The smoky base and dry woods make it the vanilla you reach for on a date-night candle, not a cupcake candle.
- Safe in Soap Without Sweetening: Dense gourmands can seize, but this one holds a 2% to 5% load and keeps its edge through a full cure.
- One Accord, Several Formats: The same warm, smoky vanilla carries from candle to reed diffuser to linen spray, so a product line stays coherent.
How to Use It
- Candle & Wax Melts: Start at 6% to 10% by weight of wax. Add at 180°F to 185°F, stir for two full minutes, and pour at the temperature your wax maker recommends. Cure soy for one to two weeks before the first burn.
- Cold Process Soap: Start at 2% to 5%. Add after trace at the coolest temperature your recipe tolerates. Fragrances can accelerate trace, so line the mold first and stir by hand once the oil is in.
- Reed Diffusers: Dilute into a diffuser base to the strength you want. The base notes keep the room from going flat once the top notes burn off, which is the usual failure point.
- Linen & Room Sprays: Solubilize before diluting, or the oil will ring the glass and leave a film on fabric. Test on an offcut before spraying anything you intend to keep.
- Body Care & Perfume: Use 0.5% to 2% in lotions and other leave-on products, and 1% to 10% in perfume or fine fragrance. Patch test anything that stays on skin before you sell it.
These are starting ranges, not ceilings. The maximum for this scent in each application is set by its IFRA certificate, and that document is what to check before locking a formula.
Safety & Documentation
- Flash Point 214°F (101°C), closed cup — high enough for gel wax and stable at normal candle-making temperatures. Keep it away from open flame.
- Concentrate, not a finished product — do not swallow, do not apply neat to skin, keep it out of eyes. Rinse with plenty of water if contact happens.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets — cats and dogs are more sensitive to concentrated fragrance than people are. Wipe spills with an absorbent cloth instead of rinsing them away.
- IFRA certificate and safety data sheet — available on request before you order, and supplied with bulk quantities. No animal testing.
